Article V - Registration Contact and Payment Procedure

A. Application Form and Entry Fee
The Team Entry Application Form must be send by e-mail to ast@greennet.gl
Entry fees 6,500 EURO must be transferred to The SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE's account in Grønlandsbanken (Bank Of Greenland). Registration number : 6471 Account : 144148-2 The receipt for the bank transfer must be faxed to 00299 981243 or sent to the following address

When a team application is accepted, the team must within 2 weeks transfer 25% of the total entry fee : 1,500 EURO to The SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE account. Deadline for full payment are 1 month after the team application has been accepted.

B. Reservation Procedure
A limited number of entries will accepted to ensure the quality and safety of the race and to minimise ecological impact. Thus, entry reservation will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis to qualified teams. In the event that the number of qualified teams filing applications before June 15th 2008 exceed the number of available entries, teams will be awarded entries or ranked positions on a waiting list in a random drawing.
Completed applications will be evaluated when received and teams will be notified of their status (accepted, resubmit application or rejected ) within 3 weeks after receipt of their application. Incomplete applications may be given preliminary approval only under
special circumstances, to described in the application.

C. Withdrawal & Refund
The cut-off day for withdrawal of an entry is May 1st  2008.  A withdraw will result in a 50% refund of the full entry fee. Withdrawal after to May 1st  will result in no refund at all.

D. Late Entries
Late (after June 15th  ) Team Entry Applications will be accepted until June 15th  2008 only if the event is not sold out. All late entries will be awarded on a case-by-case basis.

Team Changes
Changes to the team made after the application has been accepted and an invitation has been awarded, requires that the team provide notice as soon as possible to SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE via email for further instructions. All application forms must be updated to reflect team changes. teams arriving at the pre-race registration without an updated application packet may not be allowed to participate and risk forfeiture of their entry reservation and all entry fees paid.

Entry Fees
The entry fee for one team is 6,500 EURO. The entry fee includes airfare from Reykjavik, Iceland to Kulusuk, East Greenland. Transportation by boat or helicopter to Tasiilaq, Ammassalik Island. Accommodation and catering (breakfast and evening buffet) for the period: 17th – 26th July 2008. Return to Iceland.

G. Registration Day
All team members are required to attend the Registration, Equipment Check and Pre-race Briefings during the race. Only registered teams passing the Equipment Check, and Pre-Race Briefing will be given race bibs and authentication to enter the race.

H. Summary of Dates
The following list summarises key dates for the SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE 2008:
November 15th 2007 Open for Team Applications. Teams will be notified within 2 weeks of application receipt.

Full payment of Entry Fees: One month after the team has been accepted.
May 1st 2008 Deadline for withdraw with a 50% refund of the entry fee.

June 15th 2008 Deadline for Late Team Entry Applications.
July 17th 2008 Arrival in Kulusuk- transportation to Tasiilaq, Ammassalik Island.
July 17th 2008 Welcome dinner
July 19th  2008 Race start, Ammassalik Island
July 23rd  2008 Race Finish.
July 24th 2008 Post-race dinner and awards ceremony
July 26th 2008 Departure
