Article III - Press and Media Coverage

Personnel
A limited number of press passes will be offered on a first-come first-served basis. Applications for press should be made no later than one month prior to the start of the race. A press pass include media access to all race activities, including a pre-race
press-only briefing, the final pre-race briefing, a post-race media briefing, and the post-race dinner and awards ceremony.

Requirements
Applicants for press passes must possess appropriate professional press qualifications. Approved members of the press must wear their own photo identification displaying their name and affiliation.

Transition Area Guidelines
Qualified and registered members of the press (approved and badges in display) will be granted access to transition areas. However, the press is not to interact with team members involved in a transition (unless invited by the team) so that the safety and expediency of the transition process will not be compromised. However, the press in encouraged to occupy transition areas to monitor race progress and interview race personnel when they are not assisting racers.

Media Footage Guidelines & Commercial Usage
Professional video cameras are allowed in staging and transition areas, including the marked staging areas at the start and finishing lines, the pre-race briefing and the post-race dinner and awards ceremonies WITH PERMISSION FROM ACE&ACE ACTION PRODUCTIONS AND SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE. Professional footage MAY NOT be taken of any race-associated activity outside these areas EXCEPT IN EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES WITH PERMISSION OF ACE&ACE ACTION PRODUCTIONS AND SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE. Footage taken with any personal or professional video cameras cannot be used for broadcasting without express written permission to
ACE&ACE ACTION PRODUCTIONS AND SIKU EXTREME ARCTIC CHALLENGE.
Competitors, spectators, family, friends, etc. agree that photographing, filming, audio recording, and so forth of images and voices, for personal, promotional, educational or informative purposes, is acceptable and permitted.
