Race start at the museum at 0900. Teams are split into two’s who each mountain bike to the end of the road leading to the Lake 168, return to the museum, and as soon as both racers have crossed the finish line, the other two are allowed to start to do the same loop. After completing the last loop, the whole team can start racing to C2-C3-C4. At C4 your glacier gear can be picked up, as you’ll have to use it to reach C5-C6-C7.

Between C2-C3 the route is extremely steep and covered with lots of loose rocks, this section is marked with the “ATC-lolly-pops” and you MUST follow this marked route, AND you have to use your helmet  between C2-C3. Furthermore you have to be extremely cautious not to kick rocks in the heads of racers below you.

C5 is placed close to the col between the two glaciers - it should be quite obvious.

Going C5-C6-C7 is beautiful glacier trekking, but there are lots of crevasses and some of them are BIG. Be careful !
